Supported Employment is an evidence-based program encompassing recovery principles and recognizes that employment can be an integral part of a person’s recovery. Employment Specialists develop relationships with community business owners and hiring managers to help the client become employed in the job of their choice. Working together, Employment Specialists and program participants develop an individual work plan, create a resume, and practice interviewing skills. Employment Specialists coordinate with the participant’s treatment team, provide job coaching, and on-going support to assist the individual in maintaining employment.
