Employment Services

For refugees, Refugee Center professionals and volunteers help clients find jobs by providing:
- Employment orientation and job-readiness training (First Two Tuesdays of Every Month: 10 am – 4 pm)
- Interview coaching and practice
- Resume, cover letter and application assistance
- Connections with potential employers and access to on-site interviews
- Referrals for free and low-cost job training and professional certification
Service Eligibility: Citizenship Refugees
Application: Clients are welcome as walk-ins or by appointment. On the first visit, refugees and asylees should bring Proof of DC residency Asylum approval letter or immigration documents I-94 card Refugee document Passport (for special immigrant visa holders)
