Downtown SAMS
Downtown SAMS offers training in hospitality and maintenance. Downtown SAMS workers are recognizable throughout the downtown DC area by their bright red attire. The Hospitality Division provides assistance with directions and information about various popular Washington, DC sites, while the Maintenance Division cleans the streets and sidewalks and even removes graffiti. The program's homeless outreach team assists homeless with details for social services and how to connect with those services. The positions are entry level and the salary is at an entry level with the inclusion of benefits. Application are accepted throughout the year and training sessions begin in January.
