About the DC Community Resource Inventory (CRI)

The DC Community Resource Inventory (CRI) is a District-wide, publicly available directory that provides information about regional health, human, and social programs and organizations in the community that are available to District residents. As part of the DC Community Resource Information Exchange Initiative (DC CoRIE), the CRI is public information infrastructure operated in the interests of the residents of the District of Columbia and represents directories contributed by District organizations and services offered by members of the DC PACT coalition. Data available in the CRI include information such as organization and program description, location, contact information, service category, and service eligibility, and more.

The DC CRI is stewarded by the DC Primary Care Association, in partnership with the Open Referral Initiative, with technology developed by Sarapis

Resource Information Management

Information in the DC CRI is stewarded by designated parties who assume responsibility for its verification and curation. The bulk of verification responsibilities are currently held by the DC Primary Care Association, with support from a network of partner organizations that maintain resource directories in specific subdomains. Collection and verification of this information is an ongoing process – please direct any questions or suggestions about the data available in the CRI to David Poms at [email protected].

Access

The DC CRI is accessible in 3 ways:

  • CRISP connected providers can access via the web-based CRISP DC Portal.

  • Non-CRISP connected providers can access via https://dc-resources.openreferral.org

  • District organizations can access DC CRI data to deliver the same information through third-party applications, via the CRI’s API here: http://api.dc.openreferral.org/developer/

  • Contact David Poms at [email protected] to learn more about the API service.

Governance

The DC CRI is governed by the DC HIE Policy Board, which is informed by the DC HIE Policy Board CRI Subcommittee. The CRI Subcommittee is composed of District stakeholders committed to developing standards related to the use, exchange, sustainability, and governance of the CRI through the DC HIE infrastructure.
