Adult Protective Services

Organization: DC Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL)

If you believe that an adult you know is being mistreated, exploited, or abused, Adult Protective Services (APS) can help assess and provide support. Now housed within the Department of Aging and Community Living (DACL), APS team members work to protect vulnerable adults from physical, financial, or emotional abuse, as well as neglect and self-neglect. APS social workers help to ensure that DC residents in need of protection are connected to the services they need.
